Description: | JAC VAN STEEN CONDUCTOR A work that is born out of enormous personal loss, Dvořák’s setting of the Stabat mater, the poem that meditates on Mary’s grief at the death of Jesus, was written following the tragic deaths of three of his young children. This deeply profound journey from grief and loss, through spiritual healing, to radiant hope offers space for personal reflection. Join Ulster Orchestra Honorary Principal Guest Conductor Jac van Steen, a stellar group of soloists including Northern Irish soprano Giselle Allen, and the Ulster Orchestra and Belfast Philharmonic Choir for a beautiful concert that reflects the mood of Good Friday. |
