 r 2025/26 season with a powerful evening of reflection\, light\, and remem
 brance in the stunning Gothic Revival setting of St Peter’s Cathedral. 
 \n\nAll Souls brings together five transcendent works that speak to the so
 ul across time and culture: \n\n	Gabriel Fauré’s radiant Cantique de
  Jean Racine and beautiful Pavane.\n	Francis Poulenc’s Litanies à la 
 Vierge Noire\, inspired by the ancient legend of the Black Virgin of Rocam
 adour — a symbol of protection\, renewal\, and enduring faith. \n	Arvo 
 Pärt’s luminous Berlin Mass celebrating his 90th birthday this yea
 r.\n	Sir John Rutter’s heartfelt Requiem\, the centrepiece of the even
 ing\, performed in honour of the composer’s 80th birthday year and 40 y
 ears since its first performance. \n\n\nWe are delighted to welcome Lynda
  Barrett as our soloist for this special performance.\n\nRutter’s Requie
 m\, a modern choral classic\, offers lyrical melodies\, rich harmonies\, a
 nd moments of serene stillness — a personal expression of hope and conso
 lation that continues to uplift audiences worldwide. Never more fitting th
 an framed by the soft light of October\, the beauty of St Peter’s Cathed
 ral and performed here in its full orchestral version. \n\nFauré’s wor
 ks bring elegance and radiance\, Poulenc adds mysticism\, and Pärt offers
